Fighting against food waste and help people in need
At the origin of the project, the restaurant La Cantine du 18, located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, and two associations of social and solidarity economy: Cap or not Cap? and Le Carillon. Located outside the restaurant, the fridge is serviced by the latter's team, which disposes of its own food surplus. For its part, Le Carillon collects from traders to recover their unsold and enrich the contents of the fridge. In France, the cities of Marseille, Nantes and Metz already have theirs.
