Bosnian Handicrafts (BHCrafts) was founded in 1995 by Lejla Radoncic, to help Bosnian women reintegrate socially and economically after the war that ravaged the country from 1992 to 1995, leaving many alone and without resources. BHCrafts capitalizes on a skill common to all women in Bosnia, knitting, to make clothes, accessories and toys sold in Bosnia and around the world. Today the company employs 500 women throughout the country, which thanks to this activity find a status and a place in society.
